A Passion for Homecare
Treating you as an individual

What we do

Our flexible range of home and live in care packages mean we’ll always be able to meet your needs!

Everyone is different, so we’ll start by putting together a personalised, tailormade home plan that works just for you.

Book your free care assessment

Our Care Assessments are delivered in your home by expert care assessors who are patient, kind and understanding. We know you may feel nervous, or worried about the future. We’re here to assure you that everything is going to be fine – that’s what Avidity Care is all about. We give you the support you want to the high standard you deserve, so you can continue to enjoy life as you always have in the comfort of your own home.

You’ll find our Care Assessment enjoyable, and one or two of cups of tea later, together we will have created a truly personalised Care Plan that is tailored to your exact requirements. After all, who knows more about what’s best for you, than you?

Our extensive range of care and support packages currently includes:

Personal domiciliary care

A comprehensive service that can support you in a wide range of activities, Personal Care is for you if you need help with everyday tasks.

These include, but are not limited to, assistance in the bathroom, help with your medicine, food preparation and morning or evening routine assistance. Personal Care also offers advice and encouragement, as well as the vital emotional and psychological support that you may need.

Specialist Dementia Care

Dementia is a condition that is becoming more and more prevalent in today’s society. Since Avidity Care was established in 2018, our Care Team has provided a wide range of support for those affected by dementia.

Avidity Care can deliver extensive and expert support to not only your loved one with the condition but all family members who are affected by dementia.

Administering medication

If you or your loved one is taking medication – particularly a few different sorts – it can be challenging to manage. Avidity Care is here to take the stress out of medication management and organising prescriptions.

We have a dedicated Medication Champion who can manage your or your family member’s medication and liaise with doctors and pharmacists to order more, or we can assist in prompting you to take your medication and simply be there for vital extra support.

Preparing meals

Having a healthy, nutritious and delicious meal is so important for both mental and physical wellbeing, as is being in control over your food choices and being able to feed yourself if possible. Being able to shop for food is also an important part of staying well and independent, especially as we age, but it is also something that can become too tricky or logistically impossible without extra help.

Our shopping and meal preparation service ensures that the people we care for enjoy the process of planning, buying and cooking regular, healthy meals. Even if the contribution towards these tasks is small it helps our clients to feel empowered and valued

Companionship

As we get older, life starts to slow down. At Avidity Care, we understand that sometimes it can be difficult to plan social activities around your busy schedule. If it’s for yourself or perhaps you have ageing family members nearby, or across the country, it can help just knowing that there is a friendly, caring companion who visits regularly.

Companion care is one of our most requested services. When one of our Care Workers provides companionship care, they become a trusted companion who can keep you or your loved one socially engaged in their own home, and also accompany you or them on visits with friends, family, and to other social events.

Support and help with day-to-day tasks

It can be hard to maintain your home when your level of mobility isn’t what it used to be, but Avidity Care can help you.

Domestic Care is a thorough offering that helps you with all manner of day-to-day tasks, from doing the laundry to washing the pots and everything in between.

Social activities and days out

If you live apart from your loved one with no family or friends living nearby, Social Care can be extremely valuable.

Our research and experience has identified that many people, especially in older age, may feel lonely and/or isolated – possibly a result of either a health condition or a loss of a significant other. Social Care offers you emotional support – this could be something as simple as a conversation over a coffee or help with your weekly shopping trip.

Live-In Care

Live-In Care is for you if you need extended hours of one to one support but wish to stay in the comfort of your own home rather than move into a residential home. Avidity Care provides a tailored service to suit the requirements of you and your family.

Avidity Care provides many varieties of Live-In Care, from Companion Care (if you require a companion to share a story with and be there to support you), to Personal Live-In Care (if you need physical help in tasks such as dressing and washing).

Night Care

Don’t lose sleep! Support at night, when you may feel most vulnerable, shouldn’t be a hard thing to find. Avidity Care feel that you should be given the choice to remain at home and receive care throughout the night, because we will always be there to support and reassure you.

Night Care consists of three separate packages: Sleep-In Care, Wake-In Care and Specialised Night Care. All packages vary by the type of care you need and the amount of times you require it during the night.

End of Life Care

End of Life Care is a service that is in increasing demand due to the sensitive nature of a person’s final days.

Avidity Care understands that it can be very difficult to accept that you need End of Life Care, but we’re here to try and ensure that it doesn’t need to be a dark time in your life.

Avidity Care was founded to give you a choice

Everyday more and more people, like you, realise the benefits of choosing homecare over residential homes.

At Avidity Care, we believe that remaining in the comfort of your own home doesn’t have to be difficult. Get in touch with our friendly support team to see just how easy it is for us to support you. You’ll keep your independence, keep your dignity and keep enjoying life as you always have.

Please inform us at least 48 hours in advance that you do not need a Care Worker to attend on a particular day. We will arrange for the service to recommence on the following day, or whenever you advise us to.

Frequently asked Questions

What if my circumstances change?

If your health improved or deteriorated, we would pick up on this during our reviews and with feedback from your Care Worker. A full Care Plan review would then be organised at your convenience and agreements would be made as to the best way forward to ensure that your care needs continue to be met.

What happens if my Care Worker doesn’t arrive?

This is a very rare occurrence. If Avidity Care know that your Care Worker is unable to tend to you on a particular day, we will let you know as soon as possible and make arrangements for an alternative Care Worker to attend. They can be caught in traffic, so if your Care Worker does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, please let us know.

Should I be concerned about receiving care?

There is no need to worry – Avidity Care are here to help improve your quality of life. Our Care Workers have a wealth of experience helping all kinds of people, and they are trained to deal with any situation or scenario. Our core values are respect and discretion for one’s privacy and dignity.

What happens if I get admitted to hospital?

If you had to be admitted to hospital or were advised that respite for a short time would be beneficial to you, we would need to be notified as soon as possible. We would cancel your visits for that duration and then upon your return home discuss with you how you would like to use the hours you have paid for but not used. We can either extend your contract by the number of hours outstanding or you can use them differently, such as for additional support for a few days to get you settled back at home.

How much does it cost?

The price depends entirely on the service you require. Our prices are competitive, yet reflect the high quality service provided. Before committing to any service you will be given a full price breakdown for the personalised care required.

Can I trust my Care Worker in my own home?

Avidity Care does everything to ensure that the staff we employ are correctly vetted, trained and monitored. Every person who works for Avidity Care has to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check before starting work.

Does Avidity Care have a minimum length of service?

Depending on the service you require, there may be some minimum terms attached. This is to ensure that Avidity Care provides you with the high standard of care you deserve.

Will I get the same Care Worker every time?

Avidity Care understands the importance of pairing the right Care Worker for your needs. We also pride ourselves on our consistency of service – if we can provide the same Care Worker for familiarity every time, we will. Our Care Workers do need time off and any replacement will be trained to the same high standards we set. If a new Care Workers is assigned, by your request or ours, we will discuss the change and introduce the new Care Workers beforehand.

What should I do if I don’t need my Care Worker to come on a particular day?

Don’t worry, Avidity Care understands that people often have other arrangements in place.
